13th October 2016 marks the day of Madam Julie’s retirement ceremony after her 35 years of service in St. Teresa’s Secondary School. The ceremony was held at St. Teresa’s Primary School hall, Avila Hall. Her retirement ceremony started at 4.30 p.m.

The event kicked off with the singing of our national and state anthems. It continued with a short speech by our principal, Madam Mary John. Then, it was Madam Julie’s turn to give her speech which left everyone in tears. Many performances were put on by the students, namely the school band (Do you want to build a snowman & Let it go), her own class Class 2A2 (Let It Go) and a group which consisted of students of Classes 2A2 and 2A4, singing and dancing to the song “Terima Kasih Cikgu”.

After the performances, gifts were presented to Madam Julie.  Everyone then sang her the birthday song in conjunction with her birthday.

The ceremony ended with the singing of our school song. Everyone wished Madam Julie all the best and a happy retirement. Thank you for everything, Madam Julie!
