Science and Technology Week Report

From June 27 to July 19, various activities were carried out in SMK. ST. Teresa as it was the science and technology week. Students and teachers actively participated in all the activities organized in order to make the science and technology week a success.

            From June 27 to July 1, the integrated living skills (KHB) department organized an innovative designing competition. The competition was open to Form one and Form two students. The objective of this activity is to cultivate the students’ creativity. On June 28, three activities were held in school. The biology department organized an activity called ‘hanging plants’. The competition was open to Form three, Form four and Form five students. The Chemistry department organized the Chemistry Explorace. It was held at the Chemistry lab and the activity was open to Form four students only. Mathonopoly was an activity organized by the Mathematics department. Form one till Form five students were allowed to join this competition. The activity was held at the Teresian hall.

            On June 29, the Science department organized an activity called solar car and it was held at the Teresian hall. Students were required to make their own solar car based on the materials given by the teachers. This competition was open to Form one and Form two students. ‘I think’ mind map activity was also organized on June 29 by the Physics and Additional Mathematics department. This competition was only open to students in Form four in class 4Science3 and 4Science2. ‘Catur Bistari’ was an activity organized by the Principles of Accounting (PA) and the Business (Perdagangan) department on the same day as well. This competition was open to students in Form four and Form five who have taken up the Principles of Accounting (PA) and Business (Perdagangan) subject.

On June 30, the matchbox rocket activity was organized by the science department and it was held at the Teresian hall. Form two students were involved in the competition only. On July 1, an exhibition was held at the Integrated Living Skills (KHB) workshop. The activity was organized by the KHB & ERT department and only the Form one and Form two students were involved.

On July 19, the ‘Next Big Chef’ competition was organized by the ERT department which will be held at the ERT room and the competition only involved the Form three and Form four students.
