On the 23rd of October 2015, Friday, a prize-giving ceremony was held in the Teresian Hall of St. Teresa's Secondary School.

The ceremony began at 8 a.m. The objective of the prize-giving ceremony was to show appreciation to students for their achievements and efforts for the year 2015 in different categories - Prefectorial Board, academic performance, extra-curriculum, ‘Nilam’, merits and discipline.

The assembly started with the singing of the national and state anthems, which were accompanied by the school’s symphonic brass band, followed by the recitation of the ‘Ikrar’. After that, a speech was presented by Madam Mary John, our principal, in which she did not forget to congratulate all the prize receivers of each category.

Next, awards and prizes in the form of certificates and vouchers were presented as incentive for the students' endeavour to excel.

There were a few performances on that day. The first performance was by the Choir Club who sang the song ‘I Have A Dream’ followed by a solo entitled ‘Hero’ sung by Marsya Binti Safri.

The next performance was a graceful 1Malaysia dance in conjunction with this year’s Merdeka theme, ‘SehatiSejiwa’, by the Kebudayaan Club members.

Before the ceremony ended, students and teachers were invited to stand to sing the school song which was accompanied by the school’s Symphonic Brass Band.

The students of St. Teresa's Secondary School were encouraged to strive even harder in their academic and extra-curricular performances in the future.

The ceremony ended at 9.30 a.m.
