On Thursday, 29th October 2015, St. Teresa's Secondary School had their annual Majlis Kecemerlangan Teresian in the Teresian Hall.

The purpose of the event was to reward and congratulate students that have achieved outstanding results in their academic and extra-curricular activities.

The students arrived around 7.30 a.m. while the parents arrived around 8.00 a.m. Our special guest, Reverend Father Simon Poh, arrived around 8.30 a.m. The event commenced with a speech from our beloved principal Madam Mary John. After that, Reverend Father Simon Poh was invited onstage to present his speech. He commented on how education is not only about books that provide us with knowledge but also about humility, integrity, responsibility and hard work.

His talk was followed by an entertaining performance by the school’s choir. “Proud To Be Teresians” was sung by the school’s choir as an a launching of the new school song.

The prize-giving ceremony started around 9.30 a.m. The prizes were given out as a sign of appreciation to the students who had contributed to the school and helped the school live up to its good name.

Later, the band performed two songs, “Abba Gold” and “Disney Spectacular”.  They were indeed thrilling performances.

The event ended at 11.30 a.m. Most of the prize receivers had smiles etched on their faces and it was definitely a sight to behold.

Love and Serve,

Brenda Lio
