Madam Catherine Unya retired on 16th January, 2013. She had been designated to teach subjects such as History, Home Science and Moral Education in our school for 34 years. The school organised an assembly in conjunction with her retirement. During the assembly, she gave a heartwarming speech about her experience teaching in our school. She received gifts and enjoyed a performance by the school brass band which played ‘You Raise Me Up’ by Josh Groban and ‘Taylor Swift in Concert’.

After that, the students and teachers sang ‘Happy Birthday’ as she blew out the candles on a cake baked especially for her. Madam Catherine will be missed greatly by all of her students and fellow colleagues. We wish her a happy retirement!

To love and serve,

Angelene Chin
